Trying to work together as a school board and executive leadership team has been very difficult during this global pandemic. The restrictions that prohibit us from meeting face-to-face only serve to exacerbate our ability to connect and work together on the daunting challenges posed by the crisis.
In August we have two very big topics that will potentially take some extended work to develop board understanding. 1) Finalizing our school reopening plan, and 2) Learn about and guide the final development of the 2020-2021 budgets.
We will discuss our plans for meeting in August to ensure there is adequate time for input and support for understanding both of these important topics. At this point, we are unsure if we will be able to meet "in-person" or if we will still be required to hold Zoom meetings. We will need to plan for both eventualities.
