November 2014
During the month of November the professional focus at WIS centered on our Extension Block as well as a class developed by Special Services staff at WIS entitled Disabilities 101. The class introduced and reviewed strategies designed to help students with disabilities be successful. Process, procedure and legal regulations focused on students with disabilities were also reviewed. Staff members created a database of classroom strategies that all staff can access and use as a resource in the future.
Reconfiguration continues to be a hot topic at WIS. WIS the only school transitioning staff into and out of our building. In addition 100% of our student body will turn over at the end of the year. WIS staff members continue to spend time with WPS and WMS staff in an effort to develop relationships and create process and procedure.
