I am so excited to report that we have figured out a way to offer an after school ELL homework club at Woodland Intermediate School which will begin April 15. With the help of the flexible, “think outside the box’ people at KWRL, we have figured out a way to have students stay after school from 2:35-3:40 and be picked up by the bus that goes back by the school. Melanie Ball, our ELL Instructional Assistant has also been a major force in getting this idea pushed forward. She will work with 10-15 students who really need some additional support with their academic work for additional clarification and instruction. The ELL homework club will meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until the end of the school year. Yippee!!!
