CALL TO ORDER
Board President, Janice Watts, called the meeting to order at 9:02 am.
ACTION ITEMS
Superintendent Michael Green reviewed with the Board, the challenge encountered with footing depth that necessitated a change in plans, raising most of the footings under the new high school one foot.
Jeremy Stuart moved to approve the Construction Change Directive to raise the footings of the new Woodland High School, and direct the Superintendent to pursue recovery of the costs associated with the CCD from the architect.

WORKSHOP
President Watts walked the Board through a review of the Board annual self-assessment.
The Board reviewed their current goals and the Superintendent/Board Operating Principles.
It was agreed that the current operating principles were working well and that revision, at this point in time, was unnecessary.
Asha Riley walked the Board through coming changes in standards, as the State has formally adopted the Common Core Standards. Additionally, she reviewed associated changes in student assessment, from the MSP/HSPE to the Smarter Balanced Assessment.
The Board agreed to move their discussion of Goal 2, Safe, healthy, and nurturing school environments to the next regular Board meeting.
The Board agreed to move discussion of Board Goals 3-5 to a future meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
President, Janice Watts, adjourned the meeting of the Board of Directors at 3:09pm.
