To be in compliance with the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, we are required to raise lunch prices an average of $.01 for the 2012-2013 school year. If we increase for 2012-13, above the $.01 requirement, we will not need to raise prices for 2013-14. For this reason, I am suggesting that we increase the Elementary lunch price from $1.85 to $1.90 and the Secondary lunch prices from $2.10 to $2.25. Also, breakfast prices have not been increased in over 10 years. For this reason I recommend an increase of Elementary breakfast prices from $1.00 to $1.25 and Secondary breakfast prices from $1.00 to $1.25.
