Energy Grant: Briefing and Next Steps

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction has awarded Woodland School District a preliminary 2011-2013 Energy Operational Cost Saving Grant in the amount $336,536.

Woodland is one of 42 districts that will be implementing infrastructure and building system improvements to generate energy cost savings. Applications were reviewed by a five-person team, made up of school district administrators from across Washington and scored against legislative criteria.

Districts are expected to maintain the project timeline and will receive the grant once a contract for design and construction services is executed with an energy services company. Projects must only be used for the project scope of work as specified in the grant application. Final

Fritz Feiten, Manager for Ameresco Quantum will be at the board meeting to present an overview of the energy grant that the district has received.  I have attached a document that discusses in detail the guidlines of this program.  Attached is a list, provided by Fritz, of the next steps for the OSPI Energy Grant.
