Board Position on Planning and Growth

For the last decade the city of Woodland has experienced significant growth.  This growth is evident in the number of portable classrooms in the school district.  Though in the last year growth has slowed significantly builders are looking to the future and planning for future development.   Proposals for such development come before the Woodland planning commission.

The question for the board to consider is whether you are interested in taking a position regarding future growth, whether to oppose or support.  Also for consideration, coupled with this discussion is consideration of impact fees and whether we should consider requesting an increase in fees so they are comparable to Clark County School District.
