Financial Update:
The month of June 2026 has closed. I included the Budget Status Reports for all funds for the month of June.
WA Funding Presentation:
Included in the board packet is the presentation I put together, which outlines how schools are currently funded in the State of Washington. Since we have some new board members, Superintendent Riley and I thought it would be good for you and also a good review for our seasoned board members. It includes a description of all funds and details on how and where revenues come from and how expenditures coordinate with them.

25-26 Projections
This document provides a detailed financial forecast for the 2025-2026 school year. It outlines projected revenues, expenditures, and the resulting impact on the district's fund balance.
Key Financial Takeaways
The district is projecting a total deficit of $182,715 for the 2025-26 fiscal year, which will be covered by the beginning fund balance.
At the start of the year, the budgeted fund balance was projected to decrease by $288,000. We also faced a revenue deficit of approximately $1.4M in apportionment and reduced special education funding because actual enrollment was lower than budgeted. Therefore, ending the year with a projected ending fund balance of 8% is particularly positive!
