Approval of the 2024-2025 Student Meal Prices

We will not be changing the breakfast prices, and per the Federal NSLP requirements, lunch prices are required to be increased by $.10 for each level (middle and high).

Yale Elementary and Columbia Elementary have qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program.  Only the program for CES has changed from last year.  Both elementary schools provided meals at no charge to students and this will continue for 24-25.  This program looks at the percentage of students from the previous year who were qualified based on information we received from DSHS (Direct Match Program).  If a school is a 40% or more direct match, the school is required to implement the CEP program.  This means that all meals at Yale and Columbia will be free to all students.  Families will be required to complete the new application, which will also double the required family income survey.

North Fork Elementary has qualified for free meals for all students based on HB1238, passed during the 2023 legislative session. This requires districts to provide meals free of charge to any K-4 school with 30% or more free/reduced students from the previous year (this decreased from 40% last year).  This is great news and a change from the previous year.
