WPS Title 1 staff includes: Malinda Huddleston-1/2 time Title 1 Reading Specialist and 6 Title 1 Instructional Assistants They are providing reading intervention to 57 second and third grade students who meet the multiple assessment rank order criteria. Curriculums may include: Read Well, Read Well Plus, Reading Mastery, Road to the Code, Read Naturally, Linda-Mood Bell and Phonics for Reading.
WIS Title 1 staff include: Nancy Harms-full time Title 1 Reading Specialist, as well as 2.5 Title 1 Instructional Assistants. They are providing reading interventions to 52 fourth, fifth and sixth grade students who meet the multiple assessment rank order criteria. Curriculums may include: Corrective Reading, Reading Mastery, Read Well, Read Well Plus, Linda-Mood Bell, Read Naturally, Rewards and out of level SRA-Imagine-It.
Each year we are required to do a Title 1 survey for parents and teachers. Ive attached three surveys returned last June from the Primary & Intermediate Title 1 parents and WPS teachers for you to review. We use this feedback to help create the WPS & WIS 08-09 Building Parent Involvement Policy that well be sharing with you all later this year.
