At the Board's February 14th meeting a first reading of policy 3207 was held. At that meeting there were no concerns expressed aboutthe policy, which was based on WSSDA recommendation. This policy is before you for final approval.
There were concerns about he administrative implementation of the policy expressed. in particular, the timeline for appeal befor the board. The oricingal draft of the procdeure required a hearing within 31 days of receipt. In the second draft (attached) you will find the timeline reduced to fifteen school days. This, i believe, addresses te stated concern of members of the board.
