Partnering with City of Woodland on community development projects

The City of Woodland has applied for a $1.5M dollar grant application to add sidewalks and planter strips along one side of SR 503 from the intermediate school to Gun Club Road. The planter strip creates a separation from SR503 and the sidewalk.

Tracy Coleman, Public Works Director, has asked if the school district would be able to pitch in $20K if the city is granted the funds in 2019. Construction would begin in May 2020 and be ending 9/2020. The state has offered to pitch in $20K, and the city is pitching in about $53K.

The City is also applying for another grant Pedestrian & Bicycle Program that is about the same cost and would like to ask if the School district could contribute the same.
