The world of school funding is being turned upside down beginning next year. The state legislature adopted HB 2242 at the twelfth hour of the third extended session of last years legislative session. The changes are huge, significant, and impactful. There are many unknowns as details and fixes are being considered in the current legislative session.
The board will be presented a high-level review of the significant changes and likely impacts to Woodland schools as these changes are implemented by the state. Attached is a Powerpoint presentation that reviews the details of the McCleary lawsuit and impacts of HB 2242, which was designed to meet the requirements of the court order that resulted from McCleary.
