The KWRL transportation building and lot underwent necessary improvement during the summer. Funds from Woodland and the other member districts are currently in the General Fund. The purpose of this resolution is to transfer funds currently in the General Fund to the Capital Projects fund so the project can be correctly paid and accounted for.

AUTHORIZING TRANSFER FROM THE GF TO THE CPF (KWRL)
WHEREAS, the Woodland School District Board of Directors wishes to transfer funds from the General Fund to the Capital Projects Fund to pay for improvements to the KWRL Transportation building and parking lot; and,
WHEREAS, the four KWRL districts (Kalama, Woodland, Ridgefield and LaCenter) will be splitting the costs of the improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Woodland’s share of the improvements is $92,507.00; and,
WHEREAS, Kalama, Ridgefield and LaCenter school districts have overpaid their projected unfunded costs for 15-16 in the amount of $50,757 and authorize Woodland to put this overpayment toward the improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the overpayments and Woodland’s share, to be paid from district levy funds are currently in the General Fund and the projects are designated as capital projects,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors of Woodland School District No. 404, Cowlitz County, request the County Treasurer to transfer $143,264 from the General Fund to the Capital Projects fund for the site purchase.
