April  Update

RE:                 WPS MONTHLY UPDATE

In returning from Spring Break, our school was greeted by new, energy efficient lighting in the common areas of our school.  The lighting is cheaper, more energy efficient, and provided a better quality of light - thank you Bill Hanson and the Maintenance Department!

Our Schoolwide Planning for school improvement has moved into the stage where our school data has been examined, school strengths/challenges have been identified, and we are now starting to formulate specific goals and activities that will guide our school efforts over the next few years!  Congratulations to the group of staff and parents who have marshaled through this process!

I have been amazed and appreciative of some of our school staff's efforts to try GLAD strategies learned in February in their classrooms!  This is a true sign of professionalism, and the willingness to take a "risk" using "new" strategies - good work!
