Attached are the 2009 December monthly cash flow statement for the general fund and budget status reports for all funds for the month of December. We will be getting actual apportionment numbers from OSPI in January, so I will provide updated projected revenues, expenditures and projected fund balance with the January financial report.
The cash flow statement (09-10 Budget vs. Actual and Comparison to 08-09) shows revenues very close to expected, payroll approximately $19,000 greater than expected and accounts payable approximately $49,000 greater than expected. Payroll is greater than expected due to higher than normal sub costs for some staff members that are out on extended leave and a higher number of certificated optional days paid than in prior years. Accounts payable differences due to $10,000 paid to Vancouver SD (for the first 4 months of the year for a student attending Fir Grove) and $15,000 payment to Dell Computers for the licensing for Microsoft Office.
Fund balance statements for all funds for December are attached. I do not see any specific areas identified on these reports that need explanation, that are not explained through the cash flow and projections summary.
The enrollment spreadsheets are attached, with summaries by headcount for September through January and a comparison of budgeted FTE to actual average FTE. Enrollment continues to drop with each month. We lost another 12 kids and 11 FTE's from December to January. This puts the average FTE through January at 2,020.20 (just .20 greater than budget). Not looking good, but hopefully things will level off or increase through the rest of the year.
