CALL TO ORDER
President Watts called the meeting to order at 6.15 p.m.
OATH OF OFFICE
Superintendent Michael Green administered the oath of office for reelected director Tom Guthrie and new director Trish Huddleston.
ANNUAL BOARD REORGANIZATION
Director Stuart nominated Janice Watts as Board President. Director Wray seconded the nomination.

Director Stuart nominated Jeff Wray as Board Vice President. Director Guthrie seconded the nomination.
Director Wray nominated Sarah Stuart as Board WIAA Representative. Director Watts seconded the nomination.
CITIZENS REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE BOARD ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS
Nancy Harmon addressed her concerns with the use of YouTube in classrooms. She also discussed access to the recent parent survey.
REPORTS TO THE BOARD
There were no comments.
REPORTS, REQUESTS, AND COMMENTS BY THE BOARD MEMBERS
Director Wray shared his positive experience helping the Rotary Christmas giving that served over 200 children.
Director Huddleston expressed her thanks for being elected to the school board, and she is very excited about the opportunity. She also expressed how she doesn’t agree with the masking requirements at the school board meeting but will comply in order to serve the students.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
End of 2021-2021 Fiscal Year Review (F-196)
Stacy Brown presented a PowerPoint presentation, and the board asked clarifying questions.
Planning for School Board Retreat
The directors agreed to have a retreat, and February 5th would be the best day. President Watts and Superintendent Green will find a location and get more information to the board soon.
First Reading and New Policies 1815 and 1825
With no objections from the board, these policies will be presented for second reading at the next regular board meeting.
Review of Results from Parent Survey
Eric Jacobson explained the layout of the survey and that we received a 24% response rate. Director Huddleston inquired about the cost of the survey and what is the district planning to do with the results.
There were some complaints that the survey was not communicated clearly to parents and therefore many parents didn’t participate. After some discussion, the board approved to reopen the survey in hopes of reaching more parents.
Student Representative Brooklynn Donald also has plans to survey students in January and will be sharing the results with the board.
CONSENT AGENDA
Director Stuart moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Director Guthrie seconded the motion.
ACTION ITEM
Approval of Text Book Adoption
Director Wray moved to approve the textbook adoption as presented. Director Watts seconded the motion.
