Subject: Human Resources Report

As the school year ends several parts of my position become busier and focused. The first is evaluations and ensuring they are being completed for all staff and tracking them to ensure they are turned in on time. I complete a report on evaluations in the fall so the tracking I do now will be used at that time. The second is posting positions and ensuring procedures are followed in the interview process. Once a newly hired employee has completed the paperwork they meet with me to go over retirement, and frequently asked questions. It also becomes a time where I look more closely at the forms and processes in place to check if they need to be adjusted.

Testing for COVID has slowed down and I am now looking into doing rapid testing which will allow us to get students and staff back in the classroom more quickly. Because we already have a signed CLIA waiver it should not be a difficult transition. I will use this summer to get the process in place for the beginning of school.

I had the opportunity to teach students at the high school in Ms. Keefer’s class on what constitutes misconduct in the workplace and how to file a complaint. I appreciate the opportunity to let students know about their rights and responsibilities. The U.S. EOC has a great site called Youth @ Work that is very helpful. They asked great questions and it is always a highlight of my day to engage with students.

Lastly, along with you and Asha Riley, I had the opportunity to surprise this year's Employee of Excellence winners. Our staff is just amazing and it is wonderful to take a moment and thank them for the difference they make in the lives of students.
