Please bring your calendars to the board meeting so we can discuss the scheduling of meetings for the summer.
Currently, our regular schedule calls for July 11, July 25, August 8, and August 22. It may be that we wish to cancel some meetings and perhaps schedule a special meeting or two for specific topics.
Key work that is essential for the board are the Annual Budget adoption by August 31 and Superintendent Evaluation which is roughly scheduled for the summer generally. Additionally, we will be proposing some specific goals that we will ask the board to adopt for the coming year. These goal recommendations will be developed by the administrators during their two days of work together at the beginning of August.
I would suggest we consider the following schedule if it works for all:
July 11: Regular meeting — Board Workshop on Budget
July 25: (Janice unavailable) Cancel Meeting
August 8 (Michael tentatively absent): Regular meeting — Budget Hearing and Approval; Executive Session on Superintendent Evaluation
August 22: Regular Meeting — Regular Meeting — Last day to approve budget; Consideration of annual goals; Meet with Superintendent on Evaluation and professional goal setting.
