Agile Mind Agreement

As the board may recall, the decision was recently made to use one program for high school math.  

For the past two years, we have had 2 board-approved math curricula at Woodland High School, CPM Core Connections, and Agile Mind. As we have monitored student progress in each program we see a greater degree of academic achievement with the Agile Mind curriculum. We believe mainly because it is a more accessible text for populations that typically underachieve as compared to their peers. We have also found Agile Mind to be more user-friendly for teachers. The team agreed the consistency of using one program is better and has come to a consensus that we will use Agile mind for all Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2.  As both resources are aligned to standard and employ quality instructional practices I have no objection to choosing Agile Mind for all students moving forward and will surplus the CPM this spring/summer.  

In an effort to garner support for full implementation of the Agile Mind math curriculum, we applied for a grant and received full funding. The grant specifically funds curriculum and training for all staff provided by Agile Mind. This contract is for those services
