Description Carol Imhoff worked for many years in the Woodland School District and was a beloved counselor to many of our students. Outside of her professional career, Carol was also an exceptional artist in the realm of basketry.

This is a one-time award (non-renewing) that will be given to a student who demonstrates a strong commitment to the arts and wants to pursue art as a career, and has committed to an Arts program or a Degree in Art at a public or private college or university. payment will be made directly to the college or university of the student's choice.

Criteria
  • A letter of recommendation from a teacher or community member (non family member). Letters of recommendation will be reviewed from your general scholarship submissions.
  • You will have an interview to discuss art and its impact on your life, based on the questions listed below. There will be panel of at least three members, with at least one of these being a member of the WHS staff. - What role has art played in your life? - What are some of the influences in your Art? - What is your dream job in the arts? - How will you use these funds to continue your education in the Arts?
  • Provide a digital portfolio of 5-8 pieces of your best work. Please use the slide deck linked here to complete your portfolio. Instructions: - The following link will have you create your own copy of the slide deck: https://tinyurl.com/8ryjwmfs - Save the slide deck with your first and last name included in the title. Follow the directions included on how to complete your portfolio. - Paste the link to your portfolio in the essay field of the scholarship application, making sure the permissions allow anyone access so the committee will be able to review it.
