Empowering the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and citizens
Woodland High School is proud to be the first school in Washington to offer the Civics Diploma Seal. This prestigious honor recognizes students who go above and beyond standard graduation requirements to demonstrate a deep commitment to civic life. Inspired by the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution, the Civics Seal is more than just a mark on a transcript, it’s a reflection of a student’s dedication to Justice, Civility, Citizenship, Self-Discipline, and Service. By engaging with local government, participating in community service, and reflecting on their role in our democracy, WHS students aren't just learning about history, they are making it.
Our Vision
The Civics Seal honors students who exemplify the core virtues of a thriving democracy: justice, civility, citizenship, self-discipline, and service. Through learning, action, and reflection, recipients demonstrate what it means to engage responsibly in community with others and to participate in sustaining a democratic-republic.
