Our Mission

To provide student learning experiences culminating in the development of student skills, understanding and knowledge fundamental to achieving a positive self image and becoming a responsible, contributing member of society. We as staff members believe it is our job to ensure that ALL of our students learn, graduate and are challenged!

Our Learning Programs

Woodland High School operates on a 6 period day schedule, serving grades 9-12. Students enroll in 6 credits per year and academically advanced students have a full range of advanced placement courses to challenge them.

Woodland High School continues to integrate technology in the classroom via Internet access available to all students with parental permission. We offer a wide array of vocational electives, and an effective School-to-Work program. Students also have the opportunity to utilize Clark County's Cascadia Technical Academy and area community colleges through the Running Start program, earning both high school and college credit for classes. We also currently have a wide variety of vocational courses. Woodland High School is also a very active participant in the College in the High School program with Central Washington University and Lower Columbia College. Students can earn college credits while attending the following classes: AP US History, AP Government, AP Biology, AP Literature, AP Language, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, Astronomy, and Physics. Please see the course planner website for more information.

We also work hard to build a sense of community at our school. We have a daily advisory period called CLC that focuses on preparing all students for college, career, and life. It is our job to ensure that all of our students are challenged, learn and graduate.

Our Students

Approximately 60% of our graduates plan to attend a two- or four-year college or university. Students in the Woodland High School music program excel each year in district and state competitions, while athletic teams remain very competitive in the Southwest Washington 2A league. We currently enroll around 750 students, with a senior class of between 150-200 students.

Our Staff

We have very skilled staff who offer advanced placement classes in math, English, social studies, art and science. We also offer courses in music, drama and other specialized classes. Our staff are dedicated to the success of all of our students. We also are honored to have nine staff members including Ms. Bullock, Mrs. Conditt, Mr. Cowley, Mr. Lindsay, Mrs. Talvitie, and Mrs. Warndahl who have earned their national board certification.  We also have had an ESD 112 Regional Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Shari Conditt in 2015!

Our Facility

Establishing a sense of community while integrating modernization and technology has been the focus of the Woodland High School's current facility. We are thrilled with our new state of the art high school which opened in grand fashion to our community for students in the fall of 2015.
