Career Ready Programs: Preparing Students for Life After Graduation

Career Ready Programs have seen significant growth at Woodland School District. Students now have expanded access to hands-on learning opportunities that prepare them for careers and life beyond graduation.
In the last couple of years, Woodland's programs have expanded to include:
- Construction trades classes: Hands-on building skills that prepare students for careers in the trades
- Additional culinary classes: Students learn current industry standards applicable to jobs in the local culinary field
- Business Management classes: Including apparel design and production for entrepreneurial and business skills
- New Pre-Electrical Trades Program classes: Offered in partnership with Cascadia Tech Academy
- Early Childhood Education programming: Preparing students for careers working with young children
- IQ Credit Union Partnership: Bringing financial literacy and finance career exploration to Woodland High School students
Career Ready Programs help students stay engaged and excited about school while building practical skills for everyday life and future careers. From cooking and construction to early childhood education and financial literacy, these opportunities provide hands-on experience students can apply immediately and eventually bring to their communities as working professionals. Whether students are interested in the trades, business, education, or culinary arts, they are gaining the real-world skills and confidence needed for success.
