Description Laura was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend. She loved the outdoors, camping trips to the beach or the woods. She was a loyal friend to many. Laura had numerous stories about her life as a little girl growing up in Cougar, riding motorcycles and working at the family gas station. Laura was also a devoted mother who had four wonderful children and three beautiful grandchildren. Family always came first to Laura; she was very loved and will be deeply missed by all. Laura's friends and children created this scholarship to honor a wonderful person, and to award a WHS senior a very special gift to put towards their future.

Criteria
  • 2.0 GPA
  • Must be planning to attend college or trade school
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • The recipient must show proof of registration to a college or trade school
  • Scholarship will be sent directly to school
  • Interview the final 3 applicants
  • Each applicant will choose one of the two given prompts to write an essay on.
  • *How relations with family and/or friends have impacted your life
  • *Describe your family heritage if you are from the Yale Valley and/or the Mt. St. Helen's area
