2-Hour Late Start on Friday, November 12 due to School Bus Driver Shortage

Due to a shortage of available bus drivers, all Woodland Public Schools except Yale Elementary will operate on their two-hour late-start schedule this Friday, November 12. Woodland Child Care (WCC) and Yale Elementary will operate on their regular schedules.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, however, as you’ve likely heard in the news, labor shortages are affecting all industries throughout the United States. If you or someone you know would be interested in full-time or part-time work helping our area children learn while making a living, Woodland Public Schools is looking for paraeducators, custodial staff, substitute teachers and more. You can find job openings on our website at www.woodlandschools.org/employment

If you are interested in becoming a school bus driver, KWRL currently offers a signing bonus, free and paid CDL training, an hourly wage $23.37 per hour, and public employee benefits. To learn more, visit www.kwrl.org or call 360-841-2023.
We appreciate your help in getting the word out about the exciting employment opportunities available at your local school district.
