Welcoming Marie Wodaege to the Board: A Lifetime Dedicated to Education

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Marie Wodaege to our Board. A longtime resident and a passionate advocate for student success, Marie brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted commitment to the Woodland community.
A Deep Connection to Woodland
Marie’s ties to Woodland run deep. She and her husband have called this community home for 30 years, raising two children who are proud graduates of the Woodland school system. This personal history gives her a unique perspective on the evolving needs of our local families and the importance of maintaining a strong educational foundation.
Four Decades of Impact
With over 40 years of experience working directly with youth, families, and educational institutions, Marie is no stranger to the challenges and triumphs of the classroom. Her career has been defined by a singular belief: education is the backbone of future success.
"Youth today are our future leaders," Marie shares. "It is our responsibility to provide them with the tools they need to step into those roles with confidence."
Vision for the Future
Marie joins the board with a high regard for the work already being done in our district. She highlights Woodland’s "wonderful teachers" and the "strong academic and life-skills programs" that set our students apart.
Her goal as a board member is clear: to ensure that every child—regardless of their background—receives an education that prepares them for the complexities of adult life and the specific demands of their chosen career paths.
Please join us in giving Marie Wodaege a warm welcome as she steps into this vital role for our schools and our future.
