Sign about art show

Art lovers and community members are warmly invited to visit the Woodland Public Library to admire the creativity and skill of Woodland High School (WHS) Art 1 students. A selection of their impressive artwork is currently on display, featuring a captivating project where students brought their highly personal "dream houses" to life.

Mastering the Art of Two Point Perspective

Colorful Art

This featured exhibition showcases the students’ remarkable mastery of spatial representation, a fundamental and challenging concept in drawing and design.
The students used the technical skill of two point perspective, which involves using two vanishing points on the horizon line. This technique is critical for creating the illusion of depth and three dimensions, making the drawn structures look incredibly realistic and grounded.

2 point art of a house

Each piece offers a unique and intimate glimpse into the students’ personal architectural visions, with structures ranging from cozy, traditional cottages to sleek, futuristic mansions. The project successfully combined technical drawing instruction with essential lessons in imagination and design thinking.
