WORKSHOP

School Security and Safety

Keith Merritt and Bob Carder from Compass Consulting Group have been touring and reviewing safety and security at all the district facilities for the last four months. They have also spent many hours discussing safety and security with district and building administrators. They presented their findings and recommendations to the board of directors. The building administrator were also in attendance to share their perspectives. Many of the recommendations from Compass Consulting Group is already in the works by the district.

PUBLIC COMMENTS ON   WORK SESSION TOPIC

Kaycee Alejo and Alicia Smith asked questions regarding portable security. Donna Butler asked if the COVID funds could be used for security.

RECESS

President Watts recessed the meeting at 8:17 p.m. to enter into executive session under RCW 42.30.110(1)(g).

ADJOURNMENT

President Watts reconvened the meeting at 8:32 p.m. and adjourned at 8:33 p.m.
