The following are the key happenings at Woodland Middle School:
THANKS
I just wanted to say thanks for welcoming me into the Woodland community. I have appreciated the kindness and support of so many folks at Woodland Middle School. It has been a great school year and I look forward to the positive changes in store for 2018-19. We are excited about our new hires, new master schedule, and new math adoption. While the preliminary achievement results this year have been positive, we look forward to continuous growth and helping all students reach their potential. Thanks for your support in this endeavor.
NJHS
We are inducting 44 seventh grade Students into our National Junior Honor Society this year. Each of these students have a 3.5 GPA or above and are responsible citizens at WMS. Ronnie Schaeffer will be the new NJHS coordinator beginning the 2018-19 school year.
POSITIVE POST CARDS
Each teacher sent five post cards at least four times during the school year to recognize something positive in their students. As a school, we sent a total of 752 post cards to parents/guardians. We tracked these on a Google Doc to identify which students have been acknowledged. We felt that it was important to recognize all of the good that are students have accomplished.
PRINCIPAL AWARDS
The following students were selected from their grade level for the annual Principal award. These are all exemplary students in many ways. They represent hard work, great attitudes, and the pursuit of excellence. They will be surprised with this honor at our assembly on June 22nd.
