WSSDA has a legislative advocacy cycle through which they determine priorities for future legislative advocacy. The basis of their advocacy efforts is the development and revision of their "positions." Once a year in the spring, school boards can propose revisions to WSSDA’s advocacy platform. The annual process is outlined on their website. Additionally, there are "helpful tips" for preparing such proposals.
Board Legislative Representative Huddleston will present position proposals for review and approval by the board. If approved, these proposals will be submitted before the deadline of April 7.
