Following the June Study Session, some adjustments to policy 1400 are recommended. Because the recommended changes are clarifying rather than substantive, and because of the changes to the July meeting schedule, it is recommended that the revised policy be adopted at first reading.
Policy 1310 states:
"In the event that immediate action on a proposed policy is necessary, the motion for its adoption will provide that immediate adoption is in the best interest of the district. No further action is required. All new or amended policies will become effective upon adoption, unless a specific effective date is provided in the motion for adoption."
Adminsitrative Recommendaiton: /MOTION/. "I move that in the best interest of the district, revised policy 1400 be adopted at first reading"
