RE: Student Representative Report
On Saturday, May 7, the WHS junior class officers are working to host prom at Summit Grove in Ridgefield. The prom theme this year is “Garden Party'' and tickets will start to go on sale next week in the commons for students to participate. Additionally, the junior class is preparing for dress-up days the week of prom to promote school spirit for the upcoming dance. The spirit days that are being held are Pajama Day, Adam Sandler Day, May the Fourth/Disney Day, Throwback Trends Day, and Color Wars Day.
On May 17, WHS ASB Officers had an executive meeting and changed parts of the ASB Constitution for the following year. The proposed changes in the Constitution include adding a TEAM Correspondent for WHS ASB, changing the Historian to the Communications officer who would be in charge of the ASB Social Media account, changing the term of the ASB School Board Representative to serve for two years, updating the title “ASB Student Council” to “ASB Student Senators”, updating the title “Class Representatives” to “Class Senators”, and requiring English classes to select “Senators” to send to ASB meetings. The ASB Student Council will review the changes to the constitution on Friday, May 21.
