We will not be changing the breakfast prices and per the Federal NSLP requirements, lunch prices are required to be increased by $.10 for each level (Elementary, Middle, and High).
Yale Elementary has qualified for the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. This program looks at the percentage of students from the previous year that were qualified based on information we receive from DSHS (Direct Match Program). If a school is a 40% or more direct match, the school is required to implement the CEP program. This means that all meals at Yale will be free to all students. Families will not have to complete free/reduced applications, but we are required to gather information from families via a survey.
Columbia Elementary has qualified for free meals for all students based on HB1238, passed during the 2023 legislative session. This requires districts to provide meals free of charge to any K-4 school with 40% or more free/reduced students from the previous year.
