RE: Student Representative Report
Upcoming Events: Prom
Last week the Junior class released the Prom ballot on Friday (4/14) to all students who attend WHS. The ballot will be closing tomorrow (4/20) at lunch. The court will be announced the following day (4/21) throughout the school day. The following week on Saturday (4/29), Prom will be held at Summit Grove Lodge in Battleground. WHS students are extremely excited to be able to attend the masquerade-themed Prom this year!
Upcoming Events: AP Testing
With the month of May coming up, many AP students have to finish preparations for AP Tests, which typically take place the first week of May. Depending on the class, students are prepping for their testing in a variety of different ways. Some students are preparing for multiple choice questions, some are reviewing class materials, and some are reviewing for their essays. The AP tests are very rigorous and hard to pass with the score needed for certain colleges. With this in mind, be sure to be wishing test takers good luck!
ASB Elections
WHS ASB sent out forms for ASB elections after spring break. We are waiting to hear the results back from the election forms. In the meantime, ASB is busy prepping for the new students that will take over open ASB Positions. After the elections are over, ASB is hoping to have a smooth transition this year by showing how we acclimated to our positions and helping the new students acclimate to them as well. Furthermore, when the school board position is filled, the new student will help write the report for the next meeting and attend, hopefully, two meetings before the school year is over.
Spring Sports
WHS Spring sports kicked off in February, and have now participated in many events throughout the season. Sports season is roughly ½ way done, and students have been working hard and truly demonstrating GRIT, especially during the cold weather this spring. Students are hoping it will get warm soon so spring sports will be easier to compete in, especially since baseball, softball, and golf can easily get canceled due to the weather.
Any Questions?
