Spring Sports

1.       HS Boys' Baseball

a.        Varsity record (0-2 league, 3-3 overall)

           i.      Team has been competitive most games with over half of the starting lineup being freshman and sophomores.

b.       JV record (0-2 league, 3-4 overall).

c.        Varsity field improvements complete.

d.       JV field playable. Sod cutting infield is final step.

2.       HS Girls' Fastpitch

a.        Varsity record (0-0 league, 5-1 overall).

           i.      Team has done very well - while using three different pitchers.

           ii.      League play begins April 13 @ Hockinson.

b.       JV record (0-0 league, 4-2 overall).

c.        JV field playable. Sod cutting infield and leveling infield dirt final step.

d.       Construction of JV dugouts in process.

          i.      CTE project for Mr. Farnell's class, with partial CTE funding.

          ii.      Materials ordered and delivered - construction to begin after spring break.

3.       HS Boys' Soccer

a.        Varsity record (0-2 league, 0-7 overall)

           i.      Extremely young team has been dealing with ineligible players and players not being available due to extenuating circumstances.

           ii.      They are hoping to have their full squad together after spring break.

4.       HS Track

a.        Team has been very competitive. There have been numerous individual winners in addition to boys and girls team wins.

b.       Next home meet April 19 vs. Mark Morris and La Center.

5.       HS Girls' Golf

a.        Team is doing very well.

           i.      First league meet is Tuesday, April 12 vs. Mark Morris.

6.       Equestrian

a.        Team just completed second meet on April 8-9 in Tacoma

           i.      Team has had top ten finishes in two events. Final meet is April 22-23 in Elma.

7.       MS Track

a.        Season begins April 11.

8.       Other

a.        Stump removal completed.

b.       Fence repair on jv/varsity ball fields underway.

c.        Columbia River Carbonates donated a pallet of field chalk for game layout on our ball fields.

d.       WIAA mandated Interscholastic Athletic Survey revised and posted.

          i.      Survey to be administered before June.
