Bus Routes 602, 604 and 609 delayed on Thurs 1/20 and Fri 1/21 due to staffing shortage
UPDATE: Friday will operate on normal bus schedules for all routes.

Dear Woodland Families:

Omicron COVID-19 has hit our KWRL transportation cooperative hard with many staff members calling in due to symptoms indicating potential contagion.  As you may know, KWRL serves four different school districts – Kalama, Woodland, Ridgefield, and La Center – and in order to reduce the impact as much as possible, we will be modifying certain bus routes for all districts.

Rather than put entire districts on delayed schedules for Thursday, certain bus routes in each district will be delayed in order to affect the fewest number of students. We apologize for any inconvenience that our affected families may experience from the delay, but we hope you understand that we want to limit the number of affected students to as few as possible.

Schools will begin and end on their normal schedule, however some of our students will miss part of their scheduled day. Of course, there will be no marked absences for any affected students and teachers will work closely by providing additional time with affected students to ensure there is no loss to their learning due to the delay.

The following Woodland bus routes will be delayed and will run two hours later than their regular schedule: 602, 604, and 609.

We once again apologize for any inconvenience this may cause affected families and appreciate your support as we continue working toward the end of the COVID pandemic.
