Food Delivery Service

Last Updated: Saturday, March 28, 2020

After receiving feedback from our families who participated in our food services survey, Woodland Public Schools started uses school buses to deliver free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 years old and younger throughout Woodland.

Will food services still be available over Spring Break?

We will continue to provide meal delivery services during Spring Break from Monday through Friday. In order to make delivery more efficient, we are consolidating routes and all stops on routes 607, 608, 609, 610, 611 and 612 will be one (1) hour later than the current times. These changes will remain in effect for the remainder of the statewide school closure.

To double-check your estimated food delivery time, use the KWRL website:

  • Go to the Find My Bus Route webpage using the left-hand menu from the home page at www.kwrl.org.
  • Scroll through the list to find your route and click the "View Stops" button.
  • Find the stop nearest you and you will see your estimated food delivery time.

Please remember that the times listed on kwrl.org are estimates; your bus may arrive later as food delivery times change based on the number of families present.

Grab-and-Go Meals will continue to be available from Woodland Middle School.

Woodland Public Schools will continue to provide grab-and-go meals during Spring Break from Woodland Middle School, however, the pick-up times are an hour later. The new pick-up time is 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This time change will remain in place for the remainder of school closure.

Can I choose to pick up meals instead of delivery?

The district also offers grab-and-go meals for pick-up from Woodland Middle School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each weekday for families who would prefer to pick up their meals.

Please note: Due to OSPI and USDA guidelines, we may only provide meals for children who are physically present at the time of pick-up.

How do I enroll for meal delivery?

There is no enrollment required.

Simply be present at your bus stop with all children who need meals at the scheduled delivery time (see below for details on delivery time).

All children 18 years and younger are eligible for free meals regardless of whether they are students of Woodland Public Schools as long as they are physically present at the time of meal delivery.

Please Note: You may receive meals for children living with you who are not present at the time of delivery, however, OSPI and USDA require that your name and phone number be provided to school staff so the number of children receiving meals can be verified in Skyward Family Access. The school district may not provide more meals than children who are present or verified to be residents of your home.

When will the bus arrive?

Visit www.kwrl.org to the estimated delivery time for your closest bus stop.

The bus schedule will remain the same for all five weekdays - Mondays do not have late-start changes during the COVID-19 statewide school closure.

Please note, some buses may arrive later than the estimated time as delivering food may take our buses longer with additional stops to accommodate our middle and high school children, too.

Practice safe social distancing

While waiting at your bus stop, please be sure to follow strict social distancing guidelines:

  • When the bus arrives, do not form a line. Instead, families should stand near the curb, leaving six feet between families.
  • A school employee will count the number of children present or request the number through an open window. The employee will then place that number of meals on the bottom step of the bus, the door will open, and the family will take the meals. Doing this will result in no hand-to-hand contact and ensure proper social distancing.

Please keep dogs at-home or make sure they're on a leash.

We know EVERYONE loves our cooking, but we’ve had a few canine hitchhikers try to make off with a few meals of their own. No-contact food delivery means all species.

Keep those pooches on leashes, please! :)
