The dust is definitely settling, we are down to under 70 general tech tickets from around 300 a month and a half ago, and a lot of those are various very low priority items (“would like to have” as opposed to “I really need”). I’m still a little behind in terms of updates to the website and Sips, but even there progress is being made. We’re setting into our stride sooner than I imagined we would be. There is still a lot of background “tidying up” to do as our configuration and monitoring systems catch up with all the changes, and still various updates to catch up on, but these will be done gradually throughout the year as they don’t directly impact our end-users.

There is also a lot of physical tidying, sorting and moving to be done and we prepare to move into our new space in the old middle school woodshop. Finally having enough space for ourselves and all the equipment will be a treat, we hope to be in there by the end of the winter break.

This year we need to think about online testing a little earlier as some staff will want to make use of the interim assessments. We’ll shortly be installing and testing this year’s versions of the software in preparation.
