School Reconfiguration Decision Made

Previous Next

At their May 27th regular meeting, the Woodland School Board approved a recommendation to reconfigure schools following the Fall 2015 opening of the new Woodland High School on Dike Access Road.   The exact timeline has yet to be determined, but by the fall of 2016 the reconfiguration of schools will be as follows:

Grades PreK-1 at Woodland Primary School

Grades 2-4 at Woodland Intermediate School

Grades 5-8 at Woodland Middle School (including the current MS and HS Campus)

Grades 9-12 at the new Woodland High School (Fall 2015)

There are many details yet to be worked out in the transition, including planning minor remodeling to prepare schools for new grade levels; and, implementing safety, security, and other improvements.  The goal will be to have this work occur over the summer of 2015, so schools are ready to receive new students in the fall of 2015.
