RE:          Summary of Teaching and Learning - WMS

Woodland Middle School English and mathematics teachers participated in professional development over the summer working with the instructional coaches to make curricular alignments to the common core.  This is work that will continue over the course of the academic year as well. 

Kelly Sloniker facilitated the transition group for 26 incoming 7th graders in August.  This group is designed to help students who have been identified as needing extra time for transition into middle school.  This is done by teacher recommendation as well as parent or student request in the spring of each year.
