Financing Options for Energy Grant
At the last board meeting the board directed us to present a financing plan for funding the district's portion of the recently awarded energy grant.
Recognizing that the savings in utilities is estimated to be aproximately $80,000+ per year we are proposing funding roughly half of the district share of the energy upgrade costs thorugh the issuance of non-voted debt with repayment over the next four years. Once the new Woodland High School is in operation we will use utility savings to help defray some of the additional utility costs associated with the new high school.
Mark Prussing will be presenting information, timelines and costs of the recommended borrowing.
