Value Engineering WorkshopPrevious Next
Project managers and engineers are partaking in a week long Value Engineering (VE) workshop surrounding the current capital facilities projects. A VE study is a cost control technique based on a systematic creative analysis of the functions of the facilities. The objective of a VE study is to identify unnecessary high costs or functions and/or identify cost savings that may result in high maintenance and operation costs. The VE team will spend the remainder of this week focusing on wringing unnecessary dollars out of the cost in order to increase overall value to tax payers and the community. In the coming weeks, a final VE report will be presented to the Woodland School Board and McGranahan Architects for further revisions.
