Choice Transfer (Boundary Exceptions)
In an effort to make Choice Transfers more convenient for parents/guardians, Woodland School District has implemented the online Choice Transfers (Boundary Exceptions) process that the State has created for Washington school districts to use.
The process begins at the resident school district. So, if you wish to Choice Transfer your student into Woodland, you must contact your resident school district to start the process. (Some school districts are still using the old process and form. We will accept the old process, if your resident district is using that method.) If your resident school district uses the State system, you will get an email when the non-resident district enters the information from the form that they will give you to complete. Then, when Woodland School District accepts your transfer, the system will notify you that you have been accepted. If your request is denied, the email will contain an explanation.
If your student is a Woodland School District resident who wishes to transfer to another district, please complete the Choice Transfer form and return it to Jody Brentin either in person, via email, fax or, regular mail if you prefer. You will receive an email when the information has been entered into the State’s system. You will receive a second email when it has been accepted by the non-resident school district that your student wishes to attend. If you receive an email that your Choice Transfer has been denied, it should explain the reason. (Some districts have special directions for the Choice Transfer process. Please see below.)
All communication can be done via email, but if you prefer to call and check on the status of your request, you may call:
Jody Brentin, Administrative Secretary
800 Second Street
Woodland, WA 98674
This is a new fill-in form. Please contact Jody Brentin if you have any difficulty with this form.
Some Non-Resident Districts have certain requirements for processing . Please read directions for the district that you wish your student to attend.
